The purpose of IDES is to bring glory to God by bringing help and hope to our hurting world. IDES is a unique way to help those who have been faced with catastrophic circumstances, such as natural disasters. Funds can be donated to IDES in general, as LCC does through our monthly support, or for specific areas of the world/relief operations. First & foremost, the focus is evangelism-which is accomplished by helping to meet the physical needs of people. This can include hunger or medical relief, disaster aid, and community development.
One thing that is interesting about just how connected our missionaries are, IDES has actually helped Damou Christian Mission (another mission we support) with hunger relief.
